How to give to the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute
There are a number of ways you can financially support the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute, the university's oldest institute, which for more than 40 years has sought solutions to the social, economic, and environmental challenges facing communities in the Charlotte region and beyond. Your gift can support our research and outreach efforts.
Make your gift by mail
Please make your check payable to “UNC Charlotte Foundation” and be sure to designate the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute or PlanCharlotte.org in the memo line of your check. Send your check to:

Major gifts, endowments and naming opportunities
These significant contributions (generally $25,000 or more, which may be paid over a multiyear pledge) create endowed funds for the institute. Major gifts create long-term financial stability for the institute and provide opportunities to merge a donor’s interest with the institute’s multiple needs and goals. Contact institute director Jeff Michael at 704‑687‑1201 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Matching gift program
Does your employer (or your spouse’s employer) have a matching gift program? Corporate matching gifts can double the value of your donation, so look into corporate matching gifts today.
Donate stocks or securities
Another option to give is by donating a gift of stock or securities to the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute. There are many different options for transferring these assets. Contact Mark Colone <email@example.com> for additional information.
Planned gifts, including estate bequests, charitable gift annuities, or donations of real estate or other tax-deferred retirement assets, leave an enduring legacy at UNC Charlotte. Please contact Amy Shehee <firstname.lastname@example.org> for additional information on making a planned gift to the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.
