There are two new resources on Goodwill's Regional Indicators partner page – an interactive map of Goodwill locations and the updated Youth Services Catalog.

Goodwill puts people to work through its chain of retail stores, literally at the stores' cash registers but also as a means of funding its job training and employment programs.  Whether you are looking to shop at a Goodwill store or donate items through a donation center or drop-off point, this new interactive map will help you find where to go.

Youth Services Catalog

As part of the 2009 youth needs assessment study, the institute inventoried youth workforce development programs in Mecklenburg County, resulting in the Youth Services Catalog.  This catalog includes all organizations and programs that provide services related to workforce development for at-risk and disconnected youth in the Charlotte area.  It contains a range of information on each program/organization, including basic contact information, the mission, who it serves, what services it offers and how it operates. Since the completion of the study, the institute has been routinely updating the catalog.

What’s new this time?  The catalog is no longer presented in a static document but is accessible online in an interactive format through Goodwill’s Regional Indicators portal. The Youth Services Catalog page allows users to click on a listed program, and information about that program will appear below. Click on different tabs to learn about different aspects of the program.  There is also an interactive map that displays program locations.
